Dr. Melissa Reed
Dr. Melissa Reed is a board-certified anesthesiologist and the founder of Klarity Mental Health & Wellness. In 2016, while working full-time in the operating room, she came across research on ketamine for depression. Initially skeptical, she studied the research closely and saw its potential for patients who had found little relief elsewhere. She went on to open the first ketamine infusion clinic in Indianapolis.
Experience
In 2020, she left the OR to focus on Klarity full-time. Her expertise in ketamine dosing, safety, and monitoring remains the clinical foundation of the practice, which now also offers Spravato, TMS, psychiatry, therapy, hormone optimization, and more.
Outside of Klarity, Dr. Reed is a proud supporter of women's sports and mother of two high school athletes. Her belief is simple: people deserve options, compassionate care, and hope for more good days ahead.
Amy Caldwell
Amy Caldwell is a board-certified family nurse practitioner at Klarity in Greenwood. She brings a diverse clinical background in internal medicine, mental health, and emergency medicine to her work with patients.
Experience
Amy earned her BSN from Indiana University School of Nursing and her MSN, specializing as a family nurse practitioner, from Indiana State University.
She was drawn to Klarity for the chance to help patients with treatment-resistant depression through options like Spravato, ketamine, and TMS. She is most proud of seeing patients who arrived feeling hopeless begin to feel more like themselves again.
Outside of Klarity, Amy loves running, reading, and spending time outdoors with her husband, two daughters, and their dog. Fun fact: the beach is her happy place.
Avery Schmidt
Avery Schmidt is a nurse practitioner and VP of Clinical Operations at Klarity, helping lead care across Castleton and Greenwood. He looks at the whole person and values having a range of treatment options to fit each patient's needs.
Experience
Avery earned his FNP from the University of Indianapolis and completed psychiatric NP training through Purdue Global, giving him a strong view of how physical and mental health connect.
He is most proud of hearing from patients about how treatment has changed their lives.
Outside of Klarity, you'll find Avery on the tennis court, traveling, or at a concert. Fun fact: he was a college diver.
Dr. Yana Alekseeva
Dr. Yana Alekseeva is a board-certified psychiatrist at Klarity in Castleton, seeing patients in person and through telehealth. She focuses on treatment-resistant depression, anxiety, PTSD, and chronic pain, pairing medication management with innovative options like ketamine, Spravato, and TMS.
Experience
Dr. Alekseeva earned her medical degree from Indiana University School of Medicine and completed her psychiatry residency through the University of Arizona in Phoenix.
She joined Klarity for the chance to offer a full spectrum of treatment — not just medication. She is most proud of sharing in her patients' excitement as they begin to feel like themselves again.
Outside of Klarity, you'll usually find her playing piano or reading. Fun fact: she's a Lord of the Rings enthusiast.
Dr. Dale Theobald
Dr. Dale Theobald is a board-certified psychiatrist at Klarity in Castleton, seeing patients in person and through telehealth. Trained as both a clinical psychologist and a physician, with additional board certification in addiction psychiatry and hospice and palliative medicine, he brings decades of experience helping patients with depression, anxiety, and other mood disorders.
Experience
Dr. Theobald earned his PhD in clinical psychology from the University of Illinois, then his MD from Indiana University School of Medicine, where he completed his psychiatry residency as chief resident and has served on the faculty for decades. He has chaired psychiatry at Methodist Hospital, led palliative care and hospice programs at Community Health Network, and is a Distinguished Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association.
He was drawn to Klarity by its mission, and he finds great meaning in walking alongside patients as they begin to feel better.
Outside of Klarity, you'll find Dr. Theobald reading, playing bridge, traveling, or on the golf course. Fun fact: he grew up on a farm.
Emily Neal
Emily Neal is a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner at Klarity, seeing patients in person and through telehealth. Her approach is rooted in curiosity and whole-person care — understanding the why behind symptoms, not just treating them.
Experience
Emily spent several years as a critical care nurse in trauma ICUs at Methodist and St. Vincent. Caring for patients and healthcare workers during COVID-19 led her to psychiatry, and she earned her DNP from Purdue University in 2025.
She joined Klarity for its focus on the future of psychiatry. There's rarely a one-size-fits-all answer, and she loves helping patients explore options like Spravato, ketamine, and TMS.
Outside of Klarity, Emily enjoys time with her husband and their four dogs, weightlifting, and music festivals. Fun fact: she was an elite competitive gymnast.
Anna Mechem
Anna Mechem is a family nurse practitioner at Klarity in Castleton. She believes caring for the mind is essential to caring for the whole person, and wants every patient to feel supported, understood, and empowered.
Experience
Anna took a less traditional path into healthcare. After studying business and hospitality at the College of Charleston, she found her calling in nursing and earned her BSN and MSN from the Medical University of South Carolina.
Her favorite part of the work is seeing a patient smile and begin to feel hopeful again.
Outside of Klarity, Anna enjoys time with her three sons, hiking, and live music. Fun fact: she's an aspiring amateur meteorologist.
Gage Skibinski
Gage Skibinski is a licensed associate mental health counselor at Klarity in Castleton. He creates a safe, trusting space where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered to make meaningful change.
Experience
Gage studied biology at Ball State — tagging sharks, tracking snakes, and working with alligators — before earning his MA in Mental Health Counseling from Northwestern University, where he led the Psychedelics in Counseling Club. He worked in addiction treatment before joining Klarity in 2024.
He was drawn to Klarity's commitment to innovative, evidence-informed, and ethical care.
Outside of Klarity, Gage explores state parks, antique shops, and new restaurants. Fun fact: he owns more than 50 vinyl records.
Sean Ford
Sean Ford is a registered nurse at Klarity in Castleton. He brings a calm, adaptable approach and a focus on helping every patient feel comfortable and supported.
Experience
Sean began his career as a U.S. Army medic, then worked as an EMT before completing Ivy Tech's first military medic-to-RN program. He spent nearly a decade in emergency medicine before joining Klarity.
He is most proud of recognizing when a patient is struggling and making thoughtful adjustments that can transform their experience.
Outside of Klarity, Sean enjoys spending time with his wife and their two cats, Corbin and Denver, and loves day trips to places he's never been.
Chelsea Williams
Chelsea Williams is a registered nurse at Klarity in Greenwood. She comes to Klarity with a background in critical care nursing and is stroke, ACLS, and BLS certified.
Experience
Outside of Klarity, you'll usually find Chelsea at home with a good book. She loves nonfiction and is a self-described history buff.
